How Websites See Your IP Address
What websites can detect, what they cannot, and how proxies or VPNs affect visibility.
When you connect to a website, the server sees an IP address as part of the network request.
This can be your real public IP, or the IP of a VPN, proxy or CDN depending on your setup.
What websites typically know
Usually the IP address, approximate location, browser details and request headers. They do not automatically know your name or exact street address from IP alone.
